Leigh Orpaz, (born in New York, lives and works in Tel Aviv) is a photography and video artist. Orpaz has exhibited in museums and galleries worldwide, among them: the 31st Sao Paulo Biennial, MACRO Testaccio Museum in Rome, a solo exhibition at Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art, The Tel Aviv Museum of Art, Museum of Fine Arts Taipei, Galleria Fuoricampo, Siena and a solo exhibition at Inga Gallery, Tel Aviv.
Orpaz has received the 2017 Award for Creative Support from the Ministry of Culture, 2016 Pais Grant for publishing an artist book. She received the 2016 Artis Project Grant for her solo exhibition at The Herzliya Museum. Additional awards include the 2013 Young Artist Award from Israel Ministry of Culture, and the Pais Grant support for an exhibition 2012. She holds an M.A from the Interdisciplinary program in the Arts at Tel Aviv University and holds a Master of Fine Arts from Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem.
